The Night the Instant Pot Saved Dinner: A Weeknight Story

It was 6:40 on a Tuesday. The front door opened, the school bags hit the floor, and the first question of the evening was the same one asked in millions of homes: “What’s for dinner?” The honest answer, at that moment, was: nothing. A proper homemade stew would take two hours – and two hours was the one thing this family did not have.

What happened next is the little film below. One busy mom, one very hungry family, and one hardworking pot that sautés, pressure cooks, and keeps dinner warm all by itself. In about twenty-five minutes – while dad read a story and mom finally sat down with her tea – a golden, tender chicken stew was on the table, and at the end of the night there was exactly one pot to wash. Watch the story, and then meet the hero of the evening underneath the video.

Meet the Hero: Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker

The pot in the film is the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1, the best-selling multi-cooker that replaced a cupboard full of single-purpose appliances in homes across America. It pressure cooks, slow cooks, cooks rice, steams, sautés, makes yogurt, and keeps food warm – and as the story shows, it does the whole dinner in one pot, from browning the chicken to serving the stew.

• 7 appliances in 1: pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté pan, yogurt maker and food warmer in a single unit.
• Up to 70% faster: pressure cooking turns two-hour stews into roughly 25-minute weeknight dinners.
• True one-pot cooking: sauté and pressure cook in the same pot – fewer pans, less mess, almost no washing up.
• Simple and safe: one-button programs and built-in safety features make pressure cooking beginner-friendly.
